Zhang Weili is a Chinese mixed martial artist and the current UFC Women's Strawweight Champion.
Born in 1990, she began her martial arts journey at the age of 6, learning Shaolin Kung Fu. Her early training included Sanda and Shuai Jiao, disciplines she excelled in before transitioning to MMA in 2013.
6 years later In 2019, she became the first Chinese fighter to win a UFC title. Zhang has successfully defended her belt multiple times and recently defeated the undefeated Tatiana Suarez at UFC 312.
As of February 2025, Zhang holds a professional MMA record of 25 wins and 3 losses. She has successfully defended her title multiple times and is recognized for her striking prowess, grappling skills, and resilience in the octagon.
